Spirit of the Buffalo A hand reaching out of the rocks toward him, followed by the bloody face and upper body of Runs with the Wind. A short plea for help was all he could manage before collapsing back to the earth. Spotted Horse edged closer, now he could see Jeremy too , laying some twenty feet away at the edge of the boulder pile. Both boys appeared to be unconscious and near death. The two halves that made up Spotted Horse were in immediate conflict. One half of him wanted to rescue the boys and be counted as a hero among his people , while the other half wanted to ride away and let them die , so he could have his vengeance. If only....
